Analieze Cervantes
Since, I can remember.
I've always wanted to be a writer. When I was twelve years old, I burned through notebooks of song lyrics, pretending I was a super star inspired by Hilary Duff and many others. Then my song lyrics turned into short stories, stories of lost love and hopeful dreams. I didn't really know my passion for writing until I hit freshman year, and that's when it became clear to me. All of it. I was inspired. When I was out, all I wanted to do was write, write, and write. I had little notepads for writing down my thoughts and if I didn't have it with me. I wrote it on a napkin at a restaurant. Freshman year, I began writing my first novel, "Love Waits" which was inspired by my childhood crush. I didn't have a computer back then so I grabbed lined paper and just began writing. I didn't know if this is what I really wanted because I knew it's hard to go into this industry.
Senior Year came, and I had just finished my second book about love in the supernatural world. I was convinced that this was going to be a series and it will be, soon enough. I can't wait to get my feet into the sand and share all that my mind creates, hoping to just inspire. I went to Cal State San Bernardino for 3 and a half years, getting my Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing and a minor in Screenwriting. All I wanted then, was to be a writer--it boiled in my veins. All the passion for writing began to explode with such creativity. 2017, I decided to self-publish a book in which was inspired by my grandmothers and happened to be a project I worked on when I was in college.
This passion I have for writing is something I can't explain, it generates through my fingertips and it brings me into a different light. The thought of it, nags at me every night before I close my eyes. More than anything I want you to go on this journey with me. Walk with me as I go into a tough world that craves creativity. My will to be a writer is lit inside of my heart and I know that even more now because of the Writer's Digest 2017 Conference where I met great authors-- writers who got their dream. Writers such as Jennifer Probst, David Levithan, and Windi Lynn Harris. They inspired me and I hope that with this, inspires you.
This is the beginning.
